Did you ever wonder why God allows hurdles in our lives? They could be anything. Here is the huge dilemma; a hurdle to one person could be an actual praise to another. That just boggles my mind! So glad God loves us and knows our needs. There are times when we do not know how to, or what to pray, but God does. The spirit groans on our behalf.
Most times I feel like I can do things on my own without God’s help, taking care of myself and my family at the same time. The simple truth is, no, I cannot, and neither can you!
Trusting in God means leaving our burdens, of any type, at the cross. The really important point to remember is; the times I have felt closest to Him are the times of greatest need in my life. What are the times you have felt closest to Him?
It never ceases to amaze me! He knows me more than I know myself, and He still loves me! Why do I still try to do things on my own? Our heavenly Father wants the best for His children. Why do we settle for less?
None of us are mothers of the year; having everything all together. Please do not compare yourself to another mother. As mothers, we all nurture our own way, because we were all brought up by different parents or guardians. That is not always a bad thing. In fact, our differences show a variety in God’s children. Being willing to see the mission field God has placed right in front of you, is very important! Most times that requires us to be silent and listen to our family. Being silent and listening does not mean we do nothing. God has given us the most important job as a mother, and prayer is a critical part.
The undisputable fact is we all love to talk! Well, at least I love to talk! If I talk, I want it to be beneficial to someone else. Seasoning our conversations with His grace, is so needed for ourselves and others.
There are times in the bible when many questions arise. This proves the Biblical characters were normal people, with a big God who moved them from one area of life to another. The people did not really want that to happen, and their faith often was in things non-spiritual. That sounds like a description of us!
When this world’s walls come down around us, we need to turn to God, who will give us the strength to jump over. As parents we need to let our children observe us turning to God for help to get over the wall. We then need to constantly tell our children about the great things God is doing in your family’s life. And when our children run into a wall, we need to encourage them to pray to God for His help.
Trust in the LORD with all of your heart,; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:5-6, NLT)
This High Priest of ours understands our weakness, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. (Hebrews 4:15-16, NLT)
